FFF155 - SPARRIESHOOP ROSE

The Sparrieshoop rose was bred by Reimer Kordes (Germany, 1953). It is a shrub rose producing many light pink blooms with a strong fragrance. The flowers are single with five petals, have long pointed buds, and an average diameter of 10 cm. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. A bushy, climbing, upright rose with dark green, leathery foliage. Height of 150 to 305 cm, width of 120 to 275 cm. This type of rose can be hopped to produce even more ample flowering.

  3. Single five-petalled roses always stir my heart.
Kordes has used this as a basis for many of his groundcover roses. R. 'Queen Mother' is one of those.
Another 5-petal rose I adore is a fully expanded bloom of R. 'Dainty Bess', from the Archer family. Those make me go weak at the knees.
The almost-wild roses like R. dupontii, [ could be considered a cross] are also gorgeous.
You have quite cheered me up with this image. Pity I have to wait so long to see my own.

They often bloom on trails and in the gardens. Even in wild nature.
