Gardens in Melbourne are at their best this time of the year. A riot of colour, fragrance and lush vegetation!

ReplyDeleteSingle five-petalled roses always stir my heart.
ReplyDeleteKordes has used this as a basis for many of his groundcover roses. R. 'Queen Mother' is one of those.
Another 5-petal rose I adore is a fully expanded bloom of R. 'Dainty Bess', from the Archer family. Those make me go weak at the knees.
The almost-wild roses like R. dupontii, [ could be considered a cross] are also gorgeous.
You have quite cheered me up with this image. Pity I have to wait so long to see my own.
seems like one taht is common in Sweden as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting :)
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love Sparrieshoop- roses, they smell so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThey often bloom on trails and in the gardens. Even in wild nature.
A nice photo of my favorite flower

ReplyDeleteI especially like pink roses - a blend of white and red like a marriage.

ReplyDeleteMust be a beautiful sight to see when this rose climbs along the wall or lattice!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very sweet and simple rose. Thank you for hosting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty! It looks strikingly like the wild rose that is the Iowa state flower.
