FFF749 - GREVILLEA 'MOONLIGHT'

This is is a Grevillea 'Moonlight', a popular Grevillea cultivar grown in many gardens in Australia, which is its native land. It is reported to be a selected form of Grevillea whiteana. However, there is published genetic data that it is the progeny of a cross between G. banksii and G. whiteana.

It is a large, hardy evergreen shrub that typically grows 3–5 meters tall.  The plant produces large, creamy-white to pale yellow toothbrush-shaped flowers nearly all year round.  Its finely divided foliage provides a dense screen, making it excellent for hedging.  The flowers are highly attractive to nectar-feeding birds, bees, and other native wildlife.
