FFF28 - CHINESE PLUMBAGO

Ceratostigma willmottianum or Chinese plumbago is a deciduous shrub that provides great interest in early autumn when its slender stems bear pale blue flowers amongst the foliage that gradually turns red as the autumn season develops. This shrub is easy to grow in a sunny, well-drained spot and can be cut hard back in the spring where it can be utilised at the front of beds and borders in small or large gardens. The flowers are very attractive to butterflies.

  4. Gotta' love a flower that does all-season duty. Especially when it is the gorgeous color! I wonder why your live-traffic feed thinks I'm from Bell Buckle Tennessee? Have never been there in my life ;>). It isn't even close to Florida really.

  20. Your Chinese flower, I will just walk around my neighborhood to see if we have it here. How's your weather, lousy here, they tell me change of weather causing colds and flus. Been sick for 3 Sundays. It's Queen's birthday here, so I am lying low and rest.
